Announcement: 2nd International Art/ Poster/Drawing Championship 2017
SAY NO TO DRUGS

Objectives:
To create drug abuse awareness and engage young learners towards social well-being through extracurricular activity
To invite young learners to represent their own core values and the commitment of their educational institutions towards healthy lifestyle
Global Forum for Teacher Educators, certified by Microsoft Educators is a volunteer forum, launched in 2014 to spread human rights education among youth and women of disadvantaged communities. GFTE also imparts “value education” among children and youth through extracurricular activities so that they can become active citizen and play integral part in solving local and global issues.
In the beginning of 2017, GFTE launched International Peace and Humanitarian Trophy, 2017 and received more than 3000 entries from all over Pakistan. Certificate, shield, medal, cash and special prizes were dispatched to the winning institutions. We also sent certificate of participation to all the participants. All the submitted art entries were distributed as a token of love to children who are battling with cancer, street children, senior citizens, etc. 100% proceedings were utilized for holding free art competitions and vocational trainings for them.
GFTE has now officially collaborated with Foundation for a Drug-Free World, USA to launch “2nd International Art/ Poster/Drawing Championship 2017.
Foundation for a Drug-Free World is an International non- profit organization, headquartered in Los Angeles, USA, working globally to raise awareness among the children and youth regarding the consequences of drugs through extracurricular activities.
As you are well informed that drug-abuse among younger generation is wide spreading across the globe including Pakistan. We, as educational institution always strive to support and promote positive values among the learners. We strongly believe that extracurricular activities should be the part of each institution to support the well-being of young learners.
This time, a part of proceedings will be used for holding various competitions for children battling with cancer and visually impaired children. After the end of competition, all the art will be gifted as a token of love to children battling with cancer, street children and to government schools for raising drug abuse awareness. Please note- all members work free from their space as volunteer for GFTE during weekend.
Details of competition are available on the attached link.
We look forward to receiving maximum entries from your institution. Together we can and we will!
Regards
Volunteer Director, GFTE
