About the Founder &  Volunteer Director

Munir Moosa is the volunteer director of GFTE. He is a human rights advocator, teacher, corporate trainer, public speaker, writer, and researcher. His areas of interest include global education, peace education, rights of minorities, multicultural education, education in conflicted areas, and global issues about human rights, online education, higher education, and teacher education.

He is currently working as an Asst Professor at one of the prestigious and oldest public sector universities. 

​

He founded Global Forum for Teacher Educator as a volunteer forum to save children and women of disadvantaged communities from violence and extremism. This forum works through the circle of the sustainable plans of action. Whatever money comes from the extracurricular competitions is used for the disadvantaged people or saved for future social activities. During his spare time on Sundays, he delivers free human rights awareness to the disadvantaged people as well as empower them free of cost. He also initiated the value education program for school-going children and street children. He further works for minorities through social counseling and socio-eco empowerment.

He is the first Pakistani to use the concept of crowdsourcing and has successfully implemented socioecoethical model. He has successfully launched many independent projects for social cause under the banner of GFTE.

He has wide-ranging experience in social intervention programs for children, women, and young people. He is also supporting the victims of abuse and violent crimes, providing social counseling, and educating them about their rights. Social work is his passion which he considers as a part of his faith. He recently completed a Masters in Online and Distance Education from the Open University, the UK under Commonwealth scholarship and now aims to use low-cost technologies to promote human rights education among disadvantaged children and women.

He is the recipient of the Summer School Scholarship for Human Rights Program, Georg Eckert Institute, Braunschweig, Germany, 2016. He has also visited as a Visiting Academic Scholar at Humboldt University and the University of California, Berkeley. Also, he is a member of various teaching, social, and business organizations.

Miss Salima Moosa is the CEO of GFTE.  She is a Children Rights advocate and has been in the field of research, early childhood teaching, and social work for the last 10 years. 

​

She has a wide range of experience working with early learners and children with disabilities. She has been volunteering and providing free awareness sessions and holding different competitions for children battling cancer and visually impaired children.
